The VCS Alliance’s 2024 Appreciation Event

We successfully hosted our 2024 Appreciation Event at Manningham Mills on the 11th of December, joined by many colleagues from different Health and Care as well as Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations. If you couldn’t make the event, we’ve put together this webpage to share some of what you may have missed.

Firstly we launched our 2023/2024 Joint Impact Report, and shared our Annual Accounts at the event. The accounts show the money that comes into the Alliance for projects, and all but 3% of that money goes out into the sector to deliver for our communities. These can be accessed and downloaded from the links below.

We also shared a video from Vicki Beere, the Chair of the VCS Alliance, to begin the evening. Vicki speaks about the event’s contents, her hopes and the challenges she expects in the year ahead, and also uses this time to make a plea to our System Leaders to remember the role of the VCSE as we face tough times ahead.

We also asked attendees what the Alliance should be doing to continue to support the VCSE sector over the next year and beyond. This created some great, sometimes challenging, discussions with attendees as we reflected on the year behind us and thought ahead to the upcoming challenges we may face.

We kindly request that colleagues who missed the event fill in our survey to share their thoughts on what the Alliance should be doing to continue supporting the sector. The survey below will take no more than five minutes and includes questions about: what you appreciated from the Alliance over the last year, and what you would like to see more of or less of.

All feedback collected will be used to inform the VCSA’s Board Strategy Day in January, to set priorities for 2025.

This survey will close on Friday 20th December.
